    Me Mate Frosch loves to travel and he loves to travel to see his favorite bands. Off he goes to Boston, for Hometown Throwdown and off he goes to Berlin-Paris-Barcelona to see RFTC. He claims it was worth it, although he admits that RFTC coming off the plane after a loung haul flight into the show in Berlin was a bid of an ambitious move (and not to their advantage).

    I did see RFTC twice in Hamburg in their first incarnation in the 90s and indeed their blend of music was something special. I still own the RFTC bowling short in red and sure their vinyl collection…plenty of vinyl actually. Time to get them into my loveliest vinyl collection!

    Fettes Biest über ein Überbleibsel aus der Hippiezeit würde ich mal sagen. Drogen, Waffen und der alltägliche Wahnsinn sind hier Standard aber wenigstens ist der Hunter ein gradliniger Mensch und hat am Ende seine geliebte 45er Magnum benutzt.

    Das ganze hat Längen und ich kenne das Werk von Hunter eigentlich auch garnicht, insofern fehlt ein wenig der Bezug. So richtig stark und spannend ist es aber in den Phasen wo Hunter als Wahlkampfbeobachter unterwegs ist und dieses grandiose Spektakel das die DEM und REP in den US of A da immer wieder aufführen auseinander nimmt. Dazu eine spannende Dose Watergate und ein wirklich vorzüglicher Blick in die Geschichte gelingt!

    Am Ende gibt es noch einen Auszug aus etwas das ein Buch werden sollte (aber nie wurde) das ganz lustig ist – absolut bösartig macht sich Hunter über Polo (den Sport der Eliten) her. Perfekt!

    Wer nicht in Geschichte aufgepasst hat und nix über die US of A in den 60er und 70er des letzten Jahrhunderts aufgeschnappt hat ist sicher überfordert. Für den Rest aber guter Stoff.

    Tommy takes up temporary housing in a New York neighborhood plagued by a violent gang called the Souls. Tommy is waiting for his next assignment as a seaman and though he tries to avoid the gang and his neighbors, it does not work. Soon he is battling the Souls and not only changing their attitudes, but the attitudes of his previously intimidated neighbors as well.
