An underground saga that weaves the Boston Music scene into a semi-operatic, neo-realistic love/hate struggle. Dan, (Dan Vitale of Bim Skala Bim and Steady Earnest) is a poor, down-on-his-luck singer/activist spurned by his girlfriend Karen (Karen Moskow.) The star-crossed couple battle it out over many difficult issues like dominance, quality time, and the price of true artistic expression. Karen's father, Police Sgt. James Goldman, (Mr.Jimmy Miller- rockstar producer of The Rolling Stones, Traffic, Blind Faith, and Motorhead) has never liked Dan or the idea that he has dated his daughter for the last three years. Tempers begin to boil as Karen's new boyfriend Matt, (Ted Vitale, WHAT Theatre Wellfleet, MA) and the Goldmans realize that Dan may have something to do with Karen's untimely disapearance, and the search is on. The awesome punk/ska and reggae soundtrack features performances and music from many of Boston's most popular bands: Bim Skala Bim at Fort Apache Studio, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones at TT The Bears Place, Dogzilla at The Paradise, Human Nature at the (now defunct) Channel Club, Steady Earnest and many more! --- Technical Note Regarding Picture and Sound Quality --- During the early 1990s this movie was originally shot on 16mm film and the sound was recorded separately on a Nagra reel-to-reel. The 16mm film and sound was synced and telecined to U-Matic 3/4" videotape and edited in a linear fashion using an A-B Roll edit suite. The finished Master U-Matic 3/4" tape was dubbed to an old, used VHS tape which became the last surviving copy of the film. Finally it was located in a storage facility and dusted off and in 2013 the VHS tape was digitized and edited and enhanced digitally with Final Cut Pro. … and now to something completly different!
Ein Krimi ist das nicht, das ist mal was anderes. Als regelmäßiger Besucher des Hamburger Planetariums interessieren mich die stellaren Verhältnisse schon – und als großer Fan von “Unternehmen Capricorn” und anderen Filmen brauche ich natürlich manchmal auch theoretisches Futter.
Dieses Buch, in Englisch, macht eine relativ einfache Rechnung auf: Wenn auf der Erde Mikroben in der Tiefsee und in der Arktis ohne Licht und unter Hitze und Kälte leben können, dann können sie das auch auf den Saturnmonden (kalt) oder der Venus (heiß). Die Beweise sind natürlich keine, weil es war ja noch niemand so richtig da. Dazu gibt es “auf sicher digger” auch Leben auf dem Mars aber, ja, wir suchen nur falsch. Alles logisch und alles auch hochspannend und hoch technisch. Und ja, ich denke die Jungs haben recht: “We have already found extraterrestial life” – wir haben es nur nicht erkannt. Wer keinen Schiss vor Biochemie hat kann das lesen, wer eine Reise durch den Kosmos machen möchte sowieso!

Geschaft … aber nicht glücklich!
Home, sweet home… Oh mann, endlich ist diese Kacksaison “vorbei” und zum Glück hat der magische FC es nicht bis zum bitteren Ende spannend gemacht. Ich hoffe die sportlichen Anfänger im Präsidium machen jetzt eine vernünftige RCA (den Terminus kennen die bestimmt). Ich hab meine schon gemacht und frage mich mit Hilfe der Experten vom Kicker wie es angehen kann das wir individuell so stark waren, das wir auf dem 4. Platz der “Anzahl Spieler in der Elf des Tages” Wertung waren aber als Team so auf dem Platz versagt haben.

Spieltag 14., mein Tip, da wir in K’lautern so auftreten werden wie Braunschweig bei uns – jede Wette (erinnert sich noch jemand an unsere Fahrt nach D’Dorf zum Abschluß und das tolle 1:7?))…SOMMERPAUSE PLEASE!
