referenzierte Quellen)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aus dem Englischen von Alexander Wagner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joe Thomas gibt als Referenz-Bibliographie u.a. Detective Constable Patrick Noble ist quasi auf der richtigen falschen Seite: W\u00e4hrend die <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Special_Patrol_Group\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">SPG<\/a><\/em> alles tat um <em>ACAB<\/em> zu formen ist der Job von Patrick in der <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Metropolitan_Police\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">MET<\/a><\/em> Race Crime Initiative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Er soll Hass-Verbrechen verfolgen. Auch mit Undercover-Cops in Rechten und Linken Gruppen. Bei RAR hat er unter anderem Suzi Scialfa, eine junge Fotografin, zur Mitarbeit rekrutiert. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Krimi-Geschichte (die es in dem Buch wirklich gibt) r\u00fccket dabei ziemlich in den Hintergrund, das Ger\u00fcst des Buches bleibt die historische Wahrheit: England und speziell London als angespannte und zersplitterte Nation, voller Rassismus allen Einwanderern gegen\u00fcber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der flotte und l\u00e4ssige Stra\u00dfenjargon kollidiert dabei oft mit den Zitaten realer politischer Personen, die eher zu einem ernsthaften Sozialgeschichtsbuch als zu einem Kriminalroman passen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Und w\u00e4hrend es schon cool ist Thatcher und Segs (von den Ruts) in einem Buch zu lesen bleibt das Buch doch erstaunlich d\u00fcnn wenn es um die Stimmen der Opfer von Polizeigewalt geht. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ich vermute mal, das Joe Thomas den Krimi tats\u00e4chlich nur als Vorwand nimmt. Oder aber das ganze ist nur der Auftakt f\u00fcr ein viel gr\u00f6\u00dferes Bild &#8211; der n\u00e4chste Band (Red Manace) ist bereits erschienen und zieht das  Bild der Eisernen Lady, die ein neues England erschaffen will, noch weiter auf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">Spannend aber auch anstrengend.
