Now that is a tough one &#8211; there where evenigs of great entertainment and there where single big surprises. Let&#8217;s try:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On a lonely August evening<em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?p=15958\">The Bollokos from Guadeloupe<\/a><\/em> did not bother about low turnout at the Indra but gave the few 2+ hours of joy! Thanks Sam! At the Monkeys it was both the return of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?p=16172\">Kaleko Urdangak<\/a><\/em> and the surprise of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?p=16115\"><em>Complete Loss<\/em><\/a> during the MOi!n It&#8217;s Hamburg Festival that provided the utmost entertainment. The sets of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?p=15705\"><em>Good Riddance<\/em><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?p=15705\"><em>Youth Avoiders<\/em><\/a> and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?p=15705\">Career Suicide<\/a><\/em> at the Booze Cruise Festival where also near perfect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But show of the year was the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?p=15658\">K-Town Warm-Up<\/a><\/em> with both an unbeaten diverese line-up and a near perfect mangy delivery &#8211; an absolut perfect blast of hardcore energy. Runner up only by a short margin where <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?p=15620\">Lysol<\/a><\/em> and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?p=15620\">Electric Chair<\/a><\/em> upstairs at the Hafenklang just a couple of days earlier in almost the same territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the book front i somehow did not find the time to go digging in my favorite bookstores. There where distractions, key one was a house move back into the city. I guess i will need to devote more time in 2023 again towards page turning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The list is still topped by the Crime series of the&nbsp;<em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/polar-verlag.de\/\" target=\"_blank\">Polar Verlag<\/a><\/em> (12 books), followed by the stuff that&nbsp;<em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.suhrkamp.de\/person\/thomas-woertche-p-14460\" target=\"_blank\">Thomas W\u00f6rtche<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;orchestrates for Suhrkamp (8 books).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Book of the year 2022? Not Crime per se but the Biography of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?p=15491\">Jerry A. Lang<\/a>, the singer from Poison Idea. There is more than enough Drugs and Violence in those 3 books that it passes easily as Crime! Runner up from the real Crime Genre where <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?p=15568\">Brachland<\/a><\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?p=15843\"><em>Blacktop Wasteland<\/em><\/a> and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?p=15602\">Das Schnelle Leben<\/a><\/em>. Extra shout out for  <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?p=15429\">Lightwood<\/a><\/em> and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?p=15283\">Bobby March Forever<\/a><\/em>, those books delivered some great laughter on top of a decent crime story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And on the record front? Little did i know, little did i know. As some others had the same urge to get more everything came to light, but only in 2022. A gem of mid-80s girl Punk with a huge P like Pop and Melodies. Anything they ever recorded on this LP and 7&#8243;.
