Und in den verlassenen Farmen. Ebenso ruhelos ist Pam Reddick, eine junge Frau und irgndwie Trailer-Trash. Und sie m\u00f6chte nur weg. W\u00e4rend Harley ihren Schwager &#8211; den lokalen B\u00f6sewicht &#8211; festsetzen m\u00f6chte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das ganze Buch ist wunderbar dunkel (wie die Nachtschicht von Harley), die Menschen sind einsam und auf der Suche und jeder schleppt eine Trag\u00f6die mit sich rum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alles deutet auf eine t\u00f6dliche Kollision der Charact\u00e4re hin &#8211; aber Chris Harding Thornton hat das ganze viel cleverer angelegt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre>\nIf Pickard County Atlas taught me anything, it\u2019s that writing, for me, is method acting. I\u2019ve accepted that, so that\u2019s something different. People give method actors a tough time, and I get it, but I had to be Pam and Paul and Harley and Virginia and Rick and Babe and the rest. I had to live in their heads to be able to write them.\n\nChris Harding Thornton in einem <em><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.lsa.umich.edu\/mqr\/2022\/06\/an-interview-with-the-author-of-pickard-county-atlas-chris-harding-thornton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Interview<\/a><\/em>.\n<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Ein fast schon ungew\u00f6hnliches Buch &#8211; trotz mangels an Mord, Todschlag sowie Blut und Tr\u00e4nen extrem spannend.
