Dieser Kosmos ist ja mehr Belfast, mehr Troubles als Amerika. Wir sind inzwischen in 1992 und DI Sean Duffy, der katholische Bulle bei der eher protestantischen Polizei in Nordirland (<em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Royal_Ulster_Constabulary\" target=\"_blank\">Royal Ulster Constabulary<\/a><\/em>), ist mit Freundin und Kind fest nach Schottland gezogen. Als Polizist sitzt er als Teilzeit Cop einen Schreibtischjob ab damit er 20 Dienstjahre voll bekommt und in Pension gehen kann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leider ist der einzige Detektiv der RUC in Carrickfergus zur Zeit in Sommerurlaub, also wird DI Duffy zu einem einfachen Fall beordert: Einem Kunstmaler wurde sein Jaguar geklaut, die Autodiebe haben den Maler erschossen. Carjacking. Case closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nicht jedoch f\u00fcr Duffy, der riecht sofort das hier mehr dahintersteckt. Und geht diesem auch nach. Und legt sich mal wieder mit allen an. Mit der RUC. Mit der <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Garda_S%C3%ADoch%C3%A1na\" target=\"_blank\">Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na<\/a><\/em> in Irland. Mit der IRA in Irland. Mit der <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Special_Branch\" target=\"_blank\">Special Branch<\/a><\/em>. Jovial lustig, gewaltt\u00e4tig und mit der richtigen Musikreferenz. Das kann kaum einer besser als er. Glaubst du nicht? Aber nicht nur wegen der Musikrefenzen sondern eben auch weil DI Sean Duffy einfach nur stur seine Arbeit macht &#8211; Morde geh\u00f6ren aufgekl\u00e4rt. Und drauf geschissen wie vielen wichtigen Personen er dabei auf die Zehen treten muss. Und das kann Duffy wie kein anderer &#8211; sich mit Leuten anlegen. Sich verhauen lassen. Wieder aufstehen. Und nochmal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aus dem Mord werden zwei, aus der Spur wird eine IRA Geschichte. Und aus der IRA Geschichte wird eine CIA Geschichte. Und dabei schl\u00e4gt McKinty einen genialen Bogen zu seinen ersten B\u00fcchern: Der lange verschollene <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gehkacken.de\/?paged=2&amp;s=forsythe\">Michael Forsythe<\/a><\/em> taucht wieder auf. Supercool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Am Ende landet Duffy ungewollt in der Weltpolitik und schaft es gerade noch so sich zu verpissen, denn wenn er dort Stress macht wird man ihn leise beseitigen. Ach ja, f\u00fcr den arroganten Arsch der Special Branch hinterl\u00e4sst er auch noch einen potentiellen Cliffh\u00e4nger der b\u00f6sen Art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gro\u00dfartig. Lange nicht mehr ein Buch mit soviel Grinsen verschlungen. Ein Teil kommt noch, oder?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eager.
